Registered users can access additional data and map files for free from this web page (subject to the copyright conditions below). There are many sources of publicly available map boundaries and data files, but most of these are not in a format suitable for immediate use. Files made available here are in a format usable in AGIS - either as map boundaries or data files. These files may be from public domain sources, or created by AGIS Software (e.g. the Canadian province map).

To install the files onto your own system, put the maps.exe file into your AGIS maps folder and run it and put the data.exe file in your AGIS data folder and run it. The files are self-extracting archives.

	US 5 digit zip code center points with names [29,448 points]. Installed display is called zips.agi.	maps.exe data.exe
	US cities and towns by name and population [25,682 points]. Installed display is called usnames.agi.	data.exe maps.exe
	Australian fisheries management regions. Installed display is called afma.agi.	maps.exe
	AGIS Map of the World CD batch map extraction utility. This is a self-extracting archive. To install it, put it in a new folder, run it, and then run install.bat.	cdext.exe

Please note that these maps can be used freely by you for the production of map displays which, when copied as bitmaps or metafile images can be distributed however you wish. This means that there is no restriction on your use or distribution of, for example, printouts, gif files or MS Word documents containing AGIS images. The map data itself (as contained in .mpb, .mpa or .dat files) is covered by copyright and should not be transferred by any means (including re-translation) to anyone not licensed to use AGIS, or put into the public domain.
